Microsoft Edge browser extensions now available for Windows 10 testers.

Image
Microsoft is ready for Windows 10 testers to start using Edge browser extensions. After an extended wait for the beta feature, Microsoft is releasing Windows 10 build 14291 today with browser extensions support for Edge. Microsoft will offer three extensions to test, including Microsoft Translator, a Reddit extension, and Mouse Gestures. Each extension can be manually installed, and because of the way Microsoft has crafted its extensions support they can also be installed in Google Chrome. Microsoft has chosen to make it easier for developers to port their Chrome extensions over to Edge. While the software maker is only releasing three basic extensions today, developers will be able to create their own extensions easily. "We’re participating in the W3C Browser Extension Community Group’s efforts to define standardized extension APIs based on familiar web technologies," says a Microsoft spokesperson. "Today, we’re previewing our first step towards that goal....

New changes in Windows 10 Mobile Action Center spotted.

Image
Washington: Software giant Microsoft would launch a new Windows 10 Mobile build sometime this week, and one of the changes that could be part of this release is targeting the Action Center and the quick actions. The Redmond-based firm is working on a new feature that would enable users to rearrange quick actions in the Action Center with drag and drop, according to WinBeta report. The users can arrange quick actions in any order they want and can add or remove them freely. This, you can have, only the ones you need the most showing up in the Action Center, as compared to the existing version of Windows 10 Mobile, which permits such customization only for the first row. If the next build doesn't bring this improvement, then the next one is likely to come with it, as the company is already testing it internally and the results look good, as per the report.

Twitter Gets an update for minor bug fixes.

Image
Recently Twitter received an update in windows store. The only change that we noticed is twitter light blue screen at start up and some minor bug fixes. Twitter's UI was totally changed after users upgraded their Windows phone from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. Now it hardly seems that twitter will again push any update for 2-3 months because there's no major updates is being pushed by twitter either on android and iOS. Now Windows phone users have to wait for a long time to get any additional feature for this app because even if twitter app receives any additional feature then it would probably be first update on Android and iOS platforms. Till be optimistic and we'll update you with latest news about updated store apps.

Microsoft Lumia 950 Might Be The Likeable Handset You Thought It Was

Microsoft at its recently held annual Build conference had announced its tool to help developers port legacy Win32/.Net apps to Windows Store. Windows 10 Anniversary Update is scheduled to arrive this summer, and many had already assumed that June or July will be the best time, considering the operating system was officially launched on July 29.There’s sure to be continued skepticism about the value of adopting Windows 10, as it represents a big shift in development approach and deployment. Microsoft Passport and Windows Hello together offer convenient multifactor authentication and enterprise-grade security. However, those users on AT&T with Windows Phone 8.1 devices such as the Lumia 1520, Lumia 830 and the Lumia 640 (Go Phone) are still waiting in the carrier to release the Windows 10 Mobile CB update for their eligible handsets. The screenshots show Microsoft’s “Word Flow for iPhone beta”, which includes custom themes – including the ability to create your own using a photo –...

More to come in upcoming updates

Microsoft is bringing more customization options to quick actions found in the Action Center on Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile, with latest internal builds allowing the user to drag-n-drop actions into any order they please, making for a much more personalized and customizable quick action bar. Unlike with the current public version of Windows 10, the new and improved quick action customization options allow actions to be placed in any order, even when the quick actions area is expanded in Action Center. On the current public builds of Windows 10, only the first row of quick actions are customizable. Furthermore, internal builds now allow you to add and remove quick actions as you please, meaning users can now select only a specific amount of quick actions that they want to show up in Action Center, instead of having all of them display even if you don’t use them. This too should help make the Action Center more personal. Microsoft is doing lots to improve the Action Center exp...
