Even worse, Microsoft’s own mobile platform kept performing worse and worse, making it slightly odd for any company to choose to develop for Windows Phone. In a sentiment many former Windows Phone fans will share, Tencent noted “despite the era of Windows 10 Mobile incoming, we may not follow closely this time. It is not because we are changing, but the reality is cruel, which drives us to change and adapt to the times”. So, I decided to take the plunge and update my Lumia 830 to the current windows insider build (.63).  Not an easy decision really cause this is my daily runner.  I have a Lumia 1020 which I have been using to test windows 10 mobile TP on.  However, this latest .63 build proved quite stable, so I deiced to take a risk and install it on my Lumia 830. I think the decision was wise, my limited experience so far of win10m on the 830 has shown it is very stable and as smooth if not a little bit smoother then win8.1 was.  The big difference is with apps. Microsoft Facebook app for win10m is somewhat on par with the official ones on android and IOS. Very impressed that Microsoft have really upped their game for this app to make it as good if not better then the official app. That being said I am sure they can do better to fine tune the experience even more. Yesterday Microsoft pushed an update to it's windows insider app which didn't came with changelog. We, assumed that it was usual bug fixing update which also bring much needed tweaking for the upcoming Redstone build. Microsoft today provide another update to windows insider which did came with changelog. It's no surprise to anyone that Microsoft is trying to claw it's way back into a decent market share of the mobile industry. The latest attempt at this is windows 10 for PC AND mobile. So what does this mean for the consumer? In short it means PC and mobile are basically the same OS (Operating System), in theory this should help boost the app ecosystem for all window users both PC and mobile. Let's face it, a big hurdle Microsoft has come up against is the apparent lack of apps for the platform, which has been portrayed in lots of media articles as a 'bad' thing .  Now I have been a windows phone users for many years and I personally have not had an issue with not having enough apps, that's probably most down to the fact I don't play a lot of games on mobile. We do need more of the big players to get official apps rolled out though, and their lies the real app issue.
