A better look at the windows camera.

Image
BASIC PHOTOGRAPHY TERMS The windows camera undoubtedly has one of the best camera UI till date. With just a flick of the camera button you're presented with all the controls at your fingertips. For people who prefer using automatic mode over manual mode, they don't have to know much. But the real fun lies in mastering the manual controls. Let's discuss about the basic terms people come across in manual mode. 1. White balance(WB) : This basically refers to how your shots look as per the lightning condition available. Our eyes have a way of adapting to the scene. A white object appears white to us despite the lightning condition. But when we take a picture that same object may appear yellow, green, orange, etc. So by manually adjusting the WB we can set the camera according to the lightning condition available so that the camera captures the actual colors. Cloudy, sunlight, incandescent, indoor light are the WB modes available in windows camera. 2. Focus : This is a

As you will be able to see in the screenshot below, the improved Action Center no longer shows a background for the app icons on the notification headers, which is exactly how the Action Center looks on the recent builds of Windows 10: Alongside the latest Action Center UI improvements, Microsoft will also introduce a new screenshot capture sound in Windows 10 Mobile sometime soon. LUMIA PHOTOGRAPHY

Image
LUMIA PHOTOGRAPHY "THEN vs NOW"   For many years now the world has been well acquainted with the power of Nokia and Microsoft in mobile photography. When Nokia announced its world class 808 pureview phone, the world fell for its feet at its astounding 41 mp snapper and wonderful lens and camera technology. Since then it was a no stop for lumia. With the Lumia 920, 1520 and the Lumia 1020 proudly carrying the pride of mobile photography on its shoulders there was no competition whatsoever for them. But things have changed now. With the likes of iphone 6s, galaxy s7, htc 10, huawei p9 the competition has become very tough for our younger flagships, Lumia 950 and 950xl. All these companies went forward adopting newer pixel technologies for their cameras and we are still stuck with the age old pureview technology. While they do come with better camera and a better sensor-flash combo, they still fall short among the other flagships. Hopefully the next flagship or the sur

King's game Paradise Bay arrives for Windows 10 and Mobile as a UWP

Image
It is no secret that King has entered a unique partnership with Microsoft. In the last few months, we have seen Candy Crush Saga, Soda Soga, Jelly Saga and Papa Pear Saga arrive as universal apps for Windows 10. Today, we can add one more to that roster with the release of Paradise Bay for Windows 10 and Mobile. What's neat about this release is this is not yet another puzzle game but instead focuses on trading and island building. Paradise Bay has been compared to Zynga's CastleVille Legends and Farmville as it involves some grinding and structure building to get ahead. Originally released just over a year ago for iOS the game is now available for those on phone or PC and tablet. Game features include: •Create and customize your perfect paradise Explore and expand your island to unlock its secrets •Collect long-lost map pieces to discover new areas of the world •Discover and nurture the island's animals •Harvest raw resources and craft valuable goods •Trade wit

First look : Messaging Everywhere ( beta ) on windows 10 and windows 10 mobile

Microsoft recently announced that a preview of Messaging Everwhere would be arriving soon for Insiders, but here at WinBeta we’ve managed to get an early first look at how the feature works. Unsurprisingly, it works exactly like Skype integration used to work, except instead of using Skype, it uses your cellular connection instead. Yes, Messaging Everywhere finally brings SMS texting to the desktop, beamed straight from your phone. This feature should arrive in preview form in the next Windows 10 Mobile insider build, which could arrive next week at the earliest. Currently, as the feature is still in beta, it can sometimes be slow/not work at all, but when it does work it works well. Video link Given check it. How does it work? Well, using your Microsoft Account, the new Messaging apps sync your conversations to the cloud, and beam them to which-ever device is requesting them. For example, sending a text on your desktop will beam that message to the cloud, then your phone w

Windows 10 Mobile may support Qualcomm's unannounced Snapdragon 830 processor

Image
Microsoft may have snuck in a new chipset that will be used in future Windows 10 Mobile devices. The company's hardware requirements support page has added the Qualcomm MSM8998 chipset, which is rumored to be the upcoming Snapdragon 830 processor. The support page (via NPU) does confirm the Qualcomm MSM8998 listing. A Chinese analyst stated a few months ago that was the code number for the Snapdragon 830, which he also claimed would support up to 8GB of RAM and would be made based on a 10nm architecture. It's important to note that while Microsoft's support page does indeed list the Qualcomm MSM8998 chipset, the company has not yet confirmed that it is indeed the Snapdragon 830, so take any reports based on that note with a grain of salt. More Evidence pop up for 64 - bit version of windows 10 mobile

Image
If you’re using a Lumia 950 or 950 XL with a relatively modern Snapdragon processor (namely, a Snapdragon 808 or beyond), then your hardware is fully capable of running a 64-bit operating system. That would pay dividends, potentially at least, regarding processing speed, security, and a host of other advantages. To date, though, Microsoft’s windows 10 mobile has been 32-bit, limiting the advantages that could be attained from 64-bit computing. All of that is likely set to change at some point in the future. As we Reported Earlier in this year there have been hints that Microsoft would enable ARM64 support in Windows 10 Mobile. ARM64, just as it sounds, is the 64-bit architecture that ARM implemented in the Snapdragon 808, 810, and 820 (and will be the architecture used in their mainstream SoCs going for it.  who’s decades-long career had a profound impact on the technology industry and on Microsoft specifically. Buried in that story was this bit:  You may check the official
