With leak of latest Windows 10build, Build 9901, one interesting possibility came to light and it seems Windows Mobile will replace Windows Phone as the name of Microsoft’s new Windows 10 smartphone operating system. Now, a LinkedIn profile throws more light on this possibility and it seems the Windows 10 smartphone SKU will be in fact called “Windows Mobile 10″. The person in question has been responsible for Windows Phone 8.1 deliverables too, as per the profile. A new claimed image of Lumia 1330 has been leaked in China. The image supposedly confirms the name as “Lumia 1330″ and confirms the specifications reported by us earlier. We exclusively reported via our sources that Lumia 1330( RM-1062) will pack a 14 MP rear PureView camera and a 5 MP FFC. And, we presented some evidence in form of a screenshot from GFXBenchlisting of RM-1062. We just came to understand that Microsoft has made “ Hey Cortana” an OS wide feature in Windows 10 via the leaked Build 9901. This also raised the hope of more devices having this feature with Windows 10 Phone. Now it seems, even Windows Phone 8.1 GDR2 will bring more advanced Hey Cortana with it. A week ago we reported that the rumored RM1062 Nokia Lumia 1320 successor was expected to have 14 megapixel rear and 5 megapixel front camera, and would have 32 GB of storage. We have received some evidence suggesting that those specs may be correct after all. They have been sent a screen shot from the GFXBenchmark entry for the device which shows it to have at least a 12 megapixel camera, and that the front camera is also around 5 megapixel. In addition the storage is set at 27 GB, which is consistent with 32 GB built-in, and the display also confirmed as 5.7 inch 720P HD. Unfortunately the relevant page is not publicly accessible at GFXBenchmark but some of the above specs have already been independently verified by the FCC and AdDuplex, meaning the handset has gathered quite a bit of momentum, and making it pretty likely we will be seeing it show up soon, likely at MWC 2015 in March or possibly even earlier. The WPBench data reveals a new Windows Phone 8.1 update 1Build 8.10.14226.0. This is an incremental build over the last released Developers preview build 8.10.14219 that brought some useful features like Mobile Data Toggle and Cortana for more markets. In fact, if you check all the last Builds of Windows Phone 8.1 update 1 aka GDR1 have been incremental only. Build 8.10.14203.306 brought scheduling of updates and real-time updated Live Tile showing battery percentage. 8.10.14192.280 which tested critical update capability or 8.10.14176 before that which brought update error fixes and spread the update to HTC devices. The update version 8.10.14157 before that was incremental too. Anyways, while new versions popping up not always confirm update roll out, but considering the above history of incremental WP8.1 GDR1 updates, it may be a good candidate of rolling out to dev preview devices, soon. The IDC has released some market share numbers for the Brazilian smartphone market in Q3 2014. They revealed the market was 15.1 million devices strong in Q3 2014, an increase of 11 percent compared to the second quarter and 49 percent compared with the same period last year. The growth was largely driving by rapidly falling smartphone prices in the region, such that smartphones outsold feature phones 3:1, with only 4.7 million feature phones being sold. The average price of the devices has fallen from BRL 900 ($333) in early 2011 to BRL 700 in Q2 2014 and to BRL 590 ($218) in Q3 2014. Mid-range devices (priced between BRL 450 and BRL 900) already represent half of the Brazilian market. IDC Brasil expects that 63 percent of the smartphones in 2014 will have a screen bigger than 4 inches. A previous update released an unpopular feature introduced by Facebook, dubbed “Top Stories” News Feed. Microsoft revealed Windows 10 Technical Preview just a several months ago. The company also confirmed that Windows 10 will be the next major version for Windows Phone as well. Microsoft hasn’t revealed much about the upcoming version for Windows Phone, though. However, back in October, Microsoft did show off a new start screen-like UI for Windows 10 for Phones on an app at TechEd Europe, take a look. Microsoft’s Joe Belfiore shows off a bit of what may be the upcoming design for the start screen at the event. As you can see on the video above, the start screen-like UI on an app looks a lot similar to the Windows 8/8.1 start screen where the tiles aren’t transparent but there is a background. Microsoft hasn’t yet revealed if we’ll see the same UI for the start screen on Windows 10 for Phones – but there is a good chance. In case Lumia Denim update is available for your device / region combination and you can check that by either going to official trackers or by following our coverage, you would get the update even if you are on developers preview.So, unlike the Lumia Cyan case last time, you don’t need to roll-back your OS for getting Lumia Denim. The app will allow users to extract action shots from vid eos or 4K Moment shots pretty easily. In checking other regions and countries, Finland appears to be the only one with a Lumia 1520 and Denim. Microsoft Lumia 535 and its dual-SIM sibling have been plagued by touch issues since launch earlier this month. As it turned out lots of early adopters are complaining about improper multi-touch detection and the low touch sensitivity that results in either the phone not detect your finger, or registering it in the wrong place.
