Softpedia reports that Windows Phone may soon get a new giant, with a 6.5 inch Windows 10 Mobile handset showing up on benchmarking site GFXBench. The handset is by Russian OEM Dexp and unfortunately is a low end affair, with a 720P screen, Quadcore processor which is likely the Snapdragon 210, Adreno 305 GPU and 1 GB RAM and 8 GB of storage. The Dexp Ixion W 5 sports a 13 megapixel rear and 5 megapixel front facing camera which can only manage 480P video, likely due to the CPU used. The Dexp Ixion W5 would be Depx’s second Windows Phone, with another Dexp Ixion W5 already on sale, with only a 5 inch screen. The Best third-party twitter client, Aeries just got updated to version  1.2.74  in the Windows Phone Store. The changelog reads: 1.2.74     ===== Added ability to view quoted tweets.  Made changes to resolve issues with Twitter's API access. Unfortunately this means you will have to log in for your accounts again.   The current issues should be resolved by Twitter once this update has been tested in production. Continuum might be available only for newer flagships (950/XL) for now but Microsoft is planning to bring it to non-flagships devices as well. During, The Q&A session held at the Lumia launch event held in india, Microsoft today confirmed that Continuum will be coming to more devices. There is no specific time frame on when it will be coming but It is expected Microsoft next mid-range device will include Continuum feature.

At the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950XL launch event in India, Microsoft announced integration of Paytm with Cortana. With this integration, you can pay your phone bills directly using Paytm using Cortana. Cortana will now track your phone bills and it will display your due date. If you want, you can just tap it and pay your bill using Paytm. We will have more info on it soon. Evernote and Telegram received another round of updates in the Windows Phone store last night. While Telegram had no changelog (the Windows Phone 8/1 and 10 stores only showing the changelogs for the last big update), Evernote was updated to fix issues with Windows 10 devices. We know that Windows 10 Mobile comes with new camera app which aim to bring all features of other Lumia Camera apps. We talked about Advanced info and Gadgets apps that Microsoft has shipped on Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL. Advanced info replaces Extra & Info while Gadgets app replaces Device Hub. Now, while these two updates are yet to arrive on Insider devices running Windows 10 Mobile, you can download and install these two easily yourself. For getting Advanced Info,   click here , go to store and get it. Though Advanced info and Extras & Info both exist now on my device after installing it. For Gadgets app,  click here  to download the Appx on your device. Now go to Settings and put the device in developer mode. Once the app is downloaded go to file explorer and tap on the file. Choose install on getting prompted and you will soon get a notification in action center that Gadgets has been installed. The app appears in the Apps list. via NPU

So our star developer rudy huyn hinted on his twitter handle that he have something to say regarding snapchat early next year. Snapchat on windows platform is one of the most eagerly waited missing app from windows store. Rudy, in fact had released a very good snapchat client in 6snap but that was killed by snapchat. Hopefully, this bitterness wont last longer as hinted by rudy's tweet. Its not clear yet that in what way we will get snapchat on windows, either 6snap can be back or we might get an official snapchat app from the developers themselves but that will only happen early next year. Italian website WindowsTeca.net reports that the Microsoft Store in Italy has started shipping pre-orders for the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL with some devices which were pre-ordered on October 27th now actually landing on the doorsteps of customers (above). Unlike other Microsoft launches the handsets appear to be rapidly rolling out around the world, though without too much fan fare, and it seems likely the handset will be widely available around the world certainly before Christmas 2015. Microsoft announced earlier this year it would be shutting down a number of its Windows Phone apps, including Lumia Beamer, and today that particular app was updated to effectively retire it from circulation. Lumia Beamer was first developed and released by Nokia, under the Nokia Beamer label. It launched just over two years ago and allowed Lumia Windows Phone devices to beam its displayed content on any screen. Microsoft renamed the app to Lumia Beamer when it acquired Nokia's Devices and Services division in 2014.

A month ago Microsoft announced that they would make Lumia Camera available Lumia 1020 users on Windows 10 Mobile. The app has several features not available in Microsoft Camera, including DNG RAW support. At the time however the only way of getting the app was to downgrade to WP8.1, install the app and then upgrade again. Now however the app is available to install directly for Lumia 1020 owners from the Windows Store.  It does not appear to be available for other devices, with the store warning that “Your device is not compatible.” Lucky Lumia 1020 owners can find the app in the store below. MixRadio recently updated the official app for Windows Phone, which was believed to have changed the publisher name from Microsoft.  Australian carrier Optus was the only major carrier in Australia to confirm they will be carrying both the Lumia  950 and Lumia 950 XL. Vodafone confirmed they will not be offering either of the handsets, while Telstra reserved its right to comment. Optus was not able to confirm pricing and timing of availability. Windows Phones have 5% of the Australian market, according to research company Telsyte, and Foad Fadaghi, managing director of Telsyte notes that carrier support is critical for expensive handsets such as the Lumia 950 and 950 XL, which will be retailing unlocked for $999 and $1129 Australian respectively. “Carrier support is critical, particularly in its price point,” he noted. “Carrier plans typically drive a lot of initial uptake in the consumer space (but) carriers are really only ranging products that they are confident will sell.” Source: WMPU
