Universal Skype experience *preview in Windows 10 Mobile gets testing and download link leaked
Earlier this year, Microsoft announced that the company will be releasing a new universal Skype experience for Windows 10. While the new Skype experience isn’t available on the PC yet, One of the editor at WMPU got his hands on the new Skype apps for Windows 10 Mobile. The Skype apps basically integrate into the Messaging app on Windows 10, where you can send messages via Skype and call someone via Skype as well. Those apps work smoothly. As you may expect, the apps aren’t quite ready yet and there are some bugs here and there. That said, the user interface of the apps is pretty clean, and they look beautiful.
Skype Messaging, Calling and Video *Preview* is a new way to experience Skype features. It integrates individual Skype features where you’d expect them – Skype messaging into Messaging and Skype calling into Phone apps for the fastest way to make calls and send messages. It also adds quick access to Skype video calling. With Skype built in, you’ll be able to reach anyone who uses Skype with just a couple of clicks.
Features:
•Integrated conversation history between Skype messaging and SMS
•Integrated conversation history between Skype calls and phone calls
•Audio calling
•Video calling
•Messaging
•Emoticons
•Sign in with your Microsoft account
