Microsoft vs Microsoft: The Real Competition

So the news is out in the tech world. Nokia is making a comeback with its new android powered sets. And this has led to a new topic "Nokia vs Microsoft". The once partners and friends turning enemies.

But is Microsoft really in a competition with Nokia or Samsung or Apple? No, they aren't. They are in competition with themselves. They're competing to make the software and hardware better each day. It was definitely a bold move in making w10 "look alike" for both phone and pc with the Universal Apps. Weeks after weeks and builds after builds. Many phones were announced. Few "so called mid rangers" with mediocre specs and bad value for money and two flagships still struggling to find a proper place beyond the windows in a world of flagship killers.

Few years back I could see why people loved wp so much. Anyone talking about android around them would be put to shame. The wp user community was big and dedicated. But now all we have is a few bunch of wp users having their patience tested. Even my friends and family have made fun of me for using windows phone. But i ignored them because i believed in Microsoft. But now I doubt if windows phone has any future.

So back to my question. Is Microsoft in competition with others or with itself ? That's for time to tell. Nokia, samsung, apple, htc, lg and other OEMs are in competition with each other now. Let's just hope future turns out well for both Microsoft and it's million windows phone users.
