Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL to hit retail in Australia this May, pricing revealed

Several Australian carriers are set to launch the latest mid-range offering from Microsoft in early May. Optus and Telstra will stock the Lumia 640 while Vodafone will sell the bigger Lumia 640 XL. Furthermore, the local retailer Harvey Norman will also sell both handsets in the country. As far as the pricing is concerned, the Lumia 640 will carry a A$299, while its bigger sibling will cost A$399.
This is a competitive price for both handsets if you consider the specifications both handsets bring to the table. As for the Lumia 640, the handset features a 5-inch display boasting a resolution of 1,280 by 720 pixels, a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of expandable storage, 8MP camera for photos and videos, 1MP front-facing camera, LTE connectivity, a 2,500 mAh battery and ships with Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Denim as its operating system.
The Lumia 640 XL carry most of the traits of the Lumia 640 with a few noticeable change, including a bigger 5.7-inch 720p display, a 13MP, 5MP front-facing camera and a massive 3,000 mAh battery.
