Microsoft Photos and Windows Camera picks up updates on Windows 10 store.

Microsoft Photos app for Windows 10 ditches the hamburger menu with the latest update. Microsoft today released new updates for the Windows Camera and Microsoft Photos app for Windows 10. As you may already know, the latest update is available for the PC, as well as Mobile as they are Universal Windows Apps. With the latest update, the Photos app now has a pivot – which lets you switch between your latest photos and albums. This has been one of the best user experience features on Windows Phone, and it’s nice to see that Microsoft is bringing these features back.

Interestingly enough, Microsoft is ditching the hamburger menu with the latest update for the Photos app. It’s worth noting that the latest update also adds the ability to set a photo as the live tile from the ellipsis menu – previously, the option was available on the Settings page.
The company also released a new update for Windows Camera – the latest update doesn’t pack any new feature for the app. However, we suspect the latest updates bring bug fixes and other minor improvements.

For those wondering, the latest version of the Microsoft Photos app is 15.820.15120, where the latest version of the Windows Camera app is 5.49.2004. The updates are already available on the Microsoft Store – so head over to this link to  grab Microsoft Photos:        Microsoft Photos "Store link"
